Are the following examples of random samples? Why or why not?
a .Asking people in an ice cream shop, if they like ice cream.
b. Surveying middle school students on what their favorite high school course is.
c. Completing a survey on whether people like shopping at Publix in front of Publix.
d. Walking around to you neighbors to ask whether the new community center should get a pool or a tennis court.

1. Not random. Because you are asking people if they like ICE CREAM in a         ICE CREAM shop. 
2. Not random. Because they are serving a small controlled group.
3. Not  random. Because you go shopping at Publix because you like it. 
4. Random. Because you don't choose who is home or not.
