If someone asked you how wide your desk is, how would you measure it? Would you measure using inches, centimeters, feet, yards, or meters? Write why you selected this unit of measure

Respuesta :

Astute

Hey there!

We know that a desk is not really huge as to use a meter, or a yard. But, when speaking about both feet and centimeters, that's when you may what to think a little bit.

I would suppose that using feet would also be to much also. Desk's run in sizes to a couple feet, maybe like 3 to 4 feet, therefore, that would not be our option.

Your answer: centimeters

Reason: Using centimeters, which they are small, they would be a better use of using this, mainly because you could get into more detail, as they are more smaller.

I would measure using feet, whose symbol is ft, it is a unit of the physical quantity length used in the English system. One foot is equal to one-third of a yard, and is currently defined as 0.304 m.

Foot

The North American foot is defined exactly as 1200/3937 meters, approximately 0.30480061 m. It is used only for unit change by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey. It is 610 nm greater than the international definition.

With this information, we can conclude that I would measure using feet, whose symbol is ft, is a unit of the physical quantity length used in the English system. A foot is equal to one-third of a yard and is currently defined as 0.304 m.
