PLEASE HELP ME I BEG YOU!!!!!
During the first hour of operation the farm stand owner sold 15% of the apples he had. On the second hour he sold 20% of the remaining apples. On the third hour he sold 25% of the remaining apples, and so on, selling 5% more each following hour. If during the third hour he sold 34 kg of apples, how many kilograms of apples did he have initially?

Respuesta :

you need to find what 34 is 25% of.

I personally would take 34 and divide it by .25 (25%) to get your answer and then to double check it, multiple the answer you get by 25%

[tex]34 \div .25 = 136[/tex]
[tex]136 \times .25 = 34[/tex]
so originally the farmer had 136 kg of apples of I'm not mistaken.
