Suleyman I ruled the Empire for 46 years since he was 26 until his death (1520-1566). Under his reign, The Ottoman Empire reached its peak: Its territory was doubled extending far to the  eastward and into Egypt and Persia; the army, the judicial system, the theological schools, the literature, and arts were transformed; many prominent buildings were constructed that still remains today, dams, aqueducts, fountains, baths, botanical gardens, bridges, etc.
