[tex]\frac{27x^{5} + 9x^{4} - 18x^{3}}{9x^{2}} = \frac{27x^{5}}{9x^{2}} + \frac{9x^{4}}{9x^{2}} - \frac{18x^{3}}{9x^{2}} = 3x^{3} + x^{2} - 2x[/tex]

First, you would combine like terms.  After you do that, you should have 18x^12 divided by 9x^2.  Then you can simplify.  The final answer is 2x^10.
