I have some questions. What is an invasive (Alien) species. What is buffel grass. Why is buffel grass an example of invasive species( how did it get to Alice springs Australia?) what benefits have some people seen in buffel grass? How has this helped it’s spread? What is the impact of buffel grass on the environment around Alice Springs.

An invasive species is a species that did not originate in the land it resides or is not native.

Buffel grass is a weed that tends to be highly invasive.

Buffel grass is an example because it originally was grown in only tropical areas due to the fact that buffel grass can handle drought and heavy grazing. It has been brought to other areas and effects native species badly.
