The formula for finding the sum in the geometric series:[tex] S_{n}=a_{1} * \frac{ r^{n} -1}{r-1} [/tex] For finding a1:[tex] a_{1} = \frac{ S_{3}*(3.2-1) }{ 3.2^{3}-1 } = \frac{48455*2.2}{32.768-1}= \frac{106601}{31.768}=3355.6094 [/tex]
