A Social contract theory is a kind of social agreement. Under the theory of social contract, the popple voluntarily gives up some of their rights in order to enjoy some other benefits and privileges of living in the society harmoniously.
The follower's social contract theory believes that if the society and all the people of the society follow this agreement religiosly we all would not need any other fer or law to keep the society united. Also according to the social contract theory, the state is fundamentally a contract between the sovereign and the people.
