in the earth’s mantle , large amounts of heat are transferred by convection currents, which would cause the heat from the core and the mantle itself causes convection currents in the mantle . The hot rocks eventually will cool and sink back through the mantle which will make the cycle repeat which would be the cycle of rising and sinking .
