Robert F. Kennedy who was also known by the nickname Bobby, was an American lawyer and politician.

He served as the 64th United States Attorney General from 1961 to 1964, and as a U.S. Senator from New York.

He was shot and mortally wounded by Sirhan at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, California, on June 5, 1968 and he died the following day at Good Samaritan Hospital.
