11.6 is greater than 11.3 because it is .3 bigger. Written as fractions these two numbers would be [tex]11 \frac{6}{10} [/tex] and [tex]11 \frac{3}{10} [/tex]. Seeing the numbers in fraction form makes it easier to see that
11.6 is larger than 11.3
