Equation (1)

[tex]-5 - 6y = -32[/tex]

Equation (2)

[tex]4x - 6y = 4[/tex]

Get y alone in equation (1)

[tex]-5 - 6y = - 32\\-6y = -32 + 5\\-6y = -27\\y = \frac{-27}{-6} = \frac{9}{2}[/tex]

Insert y in equation (2)

[tex]4x - 6 \cdot \frac{9}{2} = 4\\4x - 27 = 4\\4x = 4 + 27\\4x = 31\\x = \frac{31}{4}[/tex]
