Men in today's society face many gender stereotypes. When I go on the news I see movements that call all men sexist when I have male friends who treat me like any regular person. I see movements normalizing slogans saying ”all men are mysoginists” and ”teach your son not to be a rap-ist”. These slogans make me feel sad because most friends I know are definetly not rap-ists and it's hypocritical of a movement predicated on equality to say sexist things. It makes me feel like all men are seen as sexist, misogynistic, and pigs and that stereotype not only makes me feel more like men are hated but also like I'm being judged already based on my gender rather than the content of my character.
