Why should Columbus' legacy be celebrated and why shouldn't it be celebrated.
Give two reasons for each question.

1) he helped discover/colonize the new world
2) he was one of the first people of europe to reach the Bahamas

1) his discover disturbed many native/indigenous peoples
2) his people slaughtered the native tribes

Well it should be celebrated because he discovered a land and told everyone about it
but we should not celebrate it because people were living on that land so he did not discover anything
