The food comes from plant root in the form mineral's and water and they also use Gas as CO2.

If there is sunlight, they can even convert the light energy into Chemical, in the form of sugar (Glugose)

We call this process as Photosynthesis.

Answer is 3, food dont come from ground, nor just CO2, it requirs minerals and Water too...
