  • Individuals were included only if they had been continuously enrolled in the database over the previous 12 months.
  • CPT and ICD-9 and 10 codes were used to collect preoperative comorbidities & concurrent procedures.
  • Patients who had carpal tunnel & ulnar nerve somewhere at elbow releases within the same day were matched to those who just had carpal tunnel release.

Therefore, assessment of patient demographic characteristics and comorbidities which can assist predict the possibility of simultaneous release of the carpal tunnel and the ulnar nerve there at elbow can help orient patient management.
