Hi guys, I'm having trouble with this problem.

Consider a group of 8 people.

a. How many orders are there for these 8 people to stand in a line?
b. How many ways are there to choose a president, a vice president, and a secretary?
c. How many ways are there to choose a group of 3 people from this group?

Thank you for your time!

Respuesta :

B) Answer is 336

Explanation

There are 8 ways for a President to be selected, and have chosen a president there are 7 ways to choose a Vice (from the remaining people). Then, six ways to choose a secretary.

Then, 8*7*6 = 336.

I'm not 100% sure about this as I have used this method for 9 people and two roles, but I'm rather confident the same rules apply.

Omg ur so smart!!! :0
