1/4x = 6...divide by 1/4 on both sides
x = 6 / (1/4)..when dividing with fractions, flip what u r dividing by, then multiply
x = 6 * 4/1

Divide 1/4 on each side
then you would get

x=6/1*4/1= and you get 24

so 

x=24
