2x + 7 = 7x
-2x -2x
7 = 5x
x = 7/5
We can check this by plugging in the value in the place of x:
2(7/5) + 7
2.8 + 7 = 9.8
7/5(7) = 9.8
Since both our answers are equal, this means that the value is correct. X equals 7/5. Hope this helps! :)
