6=x/4-4
6=1/4x+-4
6=1/4-4
flip the equation
1/4x-4=6
add 4 to both sides
1/4x-4+4=6+4
1/4x=10
multiply by 4
4*(1/4x)=(4)*(10)
x=40
hope this helps!
