China is growing exponentially as a provider of steel and other products, and it makes complete sense since the nations economy is rising at an incredible pace. The United States traditionally was a huge supplier, but over the past 12 years China has been building structures at an unprecedented rate, and steel being the huge component of large skyscrapers this is one of the biggest reasons for its growth over the decade

The changes which would be expected to be taking place in China are:

A return to mass production and supply of steel products

According to the given tables, we can see that China was once the world's leading supplier of steel in the year 2006 and there were some changes which helped the United States to build and become a huge supplier of Steel to the detriment of China.

As a result of this, we can see that there is a need for China to return to mass production if they are to reclaim their place as the world's leading supplier of steel.
