I have to estimate the product of 0.67 x 623 using compatible numbers..

Possible answers:

About 280

About 36

I tried it and I didn't do very well, I don't really feel like doing it myself so an answer would be appreciated, thanks.

623 is close to 650 so you round that up to 650 and 0.67 is rounded to 0.65
650 x 0.65 = 422.5
Round 422.5 = 420
