This is a case of ABO blood types and its corresponding antibodies and antigens. It should be noted that antigens are the proteins embedded in the red blood cell membrane and is regarded as "A antigen", "B antigen", etc. Antibodies are freely floating in the blood plasma and is regarded as "anti-A antibody", anti-B antibody, etc. Frankie as a type O positive blood meaning his red blood cells are void of A and B antigens but there he has Rh antigens in his RBC (making it positive); and in his plasma, there are both anti-A and anti-B antibodies.
