PLEASE HELP! WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST ANSWER!
A pair of equations is shown below.

3x − y = 9
y = −2x + 11

If the two equations are graphed, at what point do the lines representing the two equations intersect?
A- 4,3
B- 3,4
C- 9,11
D- 11,9

Respuesta :

They will have the same coordinate,so we can just find out x and y

3x-y=9(1)
y=-2x+11(2)
Put (2) into(1)
3x-(-2x+11)=9
3x+2x-11=9
5x=20
x=4
Put x=4 into (1)
3(4)-y=9
12-y=9
y=3
Answer is A
(-4, 3) I think, not sure. But I hoped this helped.
